Troubleshooting

TopWindow Not Working?

Check Accessibility Permissions

  1. 1. Open System Preferences → Privacy & Security
  2. 2. Click "Accessibility" in the sidebar
  3. 3. Ensure TopWindow is listed and enabled
  4. 4. If not listed, click + and add TopWindow

Shortcuts Not Working

  • • Check if shortcuts conflict with other apps
  • • Try customizing shortcuts in TopWindow preferences
  • • Ensure TopWindow is running (check menu bar)

Common Issues

Window doesn't stay on top

Some applications (like full-screen games) may override the always-on-top behavior. Try using windowed mode or check if the application has its own always-on-top setting.

Menu bar icon missing

Check if TopWindow is running in Activity Monitor. If not, launch it from Applications. The icon may be hidden in the menu bar overflow area on smaller screens.

App crashes on launch

Ensure you're running macOS 13.0 or later. Try restarting your Mac and launching TopWindow again. If issues persist, contact support.
